Don’t Allow Other People to Dump Their Garbage on You
At the tender age of 25, I decided I was not going to allow folk to dump their garbage on me anymore. Do not allow persons regardless of whom they are albeit family, friends, and all others come to with their issues and dumb them? Whom do you turn to? Well the scriptures tell us to cast all our cares on Him.
I Peter 5:6-11: 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;
7 casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour, 9 whom withstand stedfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you. 11 To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Lately, faced with having to make a choice whether or not to accept the bad behavior of others and their issues, I decided I would not be a party to any of it, period. When I welcomed in 2015 this year I coined my mantra for the year, namely “I’m not accepting no Tom Foolery this year and neither should You!!! I even gave it its own shortcut [tf] on my iPhone because I found myself having to use it often. Only narcissistic people carryon this way. Why? What gives them the right? Not I. And neither should you.
